Who We Are
8th Season Capital is a South African based firm that focuses on providing investors access to emerging investment strategies in Venture Capital (VC) and Social Impact funds across Africa.
VC and social impact funds have traditionally been inaccessible to ordinary investors due to high minimum investment amounts, lack of liquidity, no readily available list of funds and general misunderstanding of the asset class. Our aim is to make these asset classes and funds more accessible to investors while providing them the opportunity to invest in solutions that directly affect and improve their lives and communities.
Investment Philosophy
We believe that responsible allocation of investors’ capital to alternative asset classes (including Venture Capital & Social Impact Funds) requires thoughtful diversification of manager skill, fund strategies and vintages to deliver on-going and demonstrated returns.
Financial markets and investments in technology-driven strategies are becoming increasingly complex and we believe that to succeed, investors need to have a diverse pool of managers, funds and investment strategies.
